Moisture????

OK, so... can anyone tell me what they are using to moisturize their locs??? I am using a basic conditioner that I put in a spray bottle, diluted it with water, and then a touch of peppermint and tea tree oil. I am hoping this will do the trick, but I just don't want my locs getting toooo dry. I want them to lock and all, but a sista has limits!

  1. I use Organics x-tra virgin olive oil Moisturizing growth lotion I use it while my hair is damp from a shower,it gives moisture without the greasy feel, but at the same time my locks are more mature then yours so you may want to consult with your SLC

  2. I actually use nothing at all, my locks no longer feel dry. Maybe its the shampoo that you are using that may be drying them out.

  3. You both have given me something to think about. Any suggestions of good moisturizing shampoos / conditioners for newbies? I need something that won't make my hair feel so heavy.

  4. I don't use anything but Jane Carter has a good leave in conditioner that is lite. Also, people swear by Oyin's Greg Juice.

  5. I have the Oyin Juices and Berries spray and that leaves my hair feeling a little greasy feeling. I also bought the pomade and that left a great smell and light feeling, but it wasn't a shampoo/conditioner. The SL website has a moisturizing treatment (conditioner) and I only used it once thus far because I"m scared, but its GREAT. My hair was so soft afterwards.
